To Catch a Thief.

You slipped my smiles
into both your coat pockets
I hope they keep you warm on these cold nights
separated by arm's lengths and oceans

In quiet rooms, I hold my hands to my chest
and try to find the evidence of your fingerprints
I hope you can sleep to the lullaby
of my stolen heart

A post by popular demand...

...actually my NaNa informed me that I needed to update, so this is for you NaNa...

2010
Wow, so I didn't expect this year to creep up on me so fast.

While high school feels a million miles away, freshman year feels like yesterday.  My sophomore and junior years of college flew by so fast I barely had time to register them and now here I am at the start of my last semester of college. Graduation: May 2010.  It seemed like a date in the Twilight Zone or something - not something real and yet, here it is.

There is excitement, and there is trepidation. After last summer, my heart feels ready for the next chapter of my life and has held on tightly to the dreams and the people associated with a path God is laying before me - brick by brick.  But, there is so much to miss about college and the life and love I've been blessed with in Tahlequah.  Chi Alpha changed my life.  My friends there - some of the best I've made or gotten closest to in this last semester.  I need more time! Yet, I know it's time.

I'm not sure what the 2010 has in store for me. I'm confident that God will guide and direct my steps and I pray that I will have the courage to follow wherever He leads.

In other news, this break has been lazy and I love it.  Nanami and I have had a good time just sleeping in and catching up on movies and books. There has been some crazy ice and snow and curling up in front of the fireplace with a new novel has been a dream.  One week left until I head back to school, so I'm off to soak up a little more time doing nothing before I hit the job hunt and the books again.

Be blessed!
Until,
Amanda
